Franklin Photography Covid-19 policy

At Franklin Photography our number one concern is the health and safety of your family and ours. Below you will find our current response to the Covid-19 epidemic.

Adherence to State and Local guidelines

Above all, Franklin Photography believes in being good community citizens. We will work cooperatively with our state and local leaders to provide a safe environment for all. By adhering to guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control, we believe we can reopen our photography businesses safely, and at the same time, contribute in to the emotional and financial healing process that needs to take place in a post-COVID-19 world.

Personal Protective Equipment

The use of PPE such as masks will be used while working with our clients. We will continue this through the end of phase three as outlined in recently released federal guidelines.

Temperature checks, screening questions, and proper sanitization

Temperature checks will be conducted for each photographic client (including each member of the family present) prior to each session. Any subject or family member with a fever exceeding 100.4 degrees will be rescheduled. Screening questions include:

• How are you feeling?

• Have you had a cough or any flu-like or COVID symptoms in the last 14 days?

• Have you been around anyone exhibiting these symptoms with the last 14 days?

• Are you living with anyone who is sick or quarantined?

• Please sanitize or wash hands upon arrival

Adherence to sanitation protocols
Standard sanitation protocols prior to each client will include but not be limited to:

• Washing hands regularly before and after photographic sessions

• Sanitation of all props, chairs, benches with which a client may come into contact

• Sanitation of restroom/dressing facilities if available to clients in-studio

• Sanitation of common areas, including doorknobs (interior and exterior), countertops, pens, and pencils, tablets, and monitors

• Removal of unnecessary paper products or décor (magazines, newspapers, extraneous sales materials)

Social distancing / No touch

Photographers will maintain social distancing and will use no-touch posing methods whenever possible. Until further notice is received from the CDC and other health officials, the maximum gathering for a photographic shoot of 10 or fewer persons should be observed.

By appointment only

We will maintain strict appointment-only times, whit will allow sufficient time to sanitize photographic equipment and common areas after each client session. Only one client (and family) will be allowed in the studio at any given time. If the session is held offsite, only one client (and family) will be staged in the immediate area.

Rescheduling and refunds

If we have to reschedule your session due to a “yes” to any screening questions we will look at rescheduling as soon as safely possible without penalty. If you have to reschedule your portrait session due to another shutdown from Covid-19 your deposits will be transferred to the soonest available date that works for both you and the photographer. As you know, we received a non-refundable deposit upon booking your wedding. If the wedding is canceled or rescheduled, whether as a result of government recommendation, third party choice (venue, etc), or personal choice, we cannot refund this deposit. That said, you will not be expected to pay the remaining balance owing for your wedding day. The deposit can go toward rescheduling your date if this is the case, or it can be used toward another photo session such as an Engagement Session, Elopement, or something else we discuss. We think it’s important for all of us to know where we stand so there are no misunderstandings.

Photographer Liability

If the photographer comes down with Covid-19 symptoms or any other illness following a photoshoot, and never had symptoms prior to the photo shoot, they will not be held liable.  If a photographer comes down with flu-like or Covid-19 like symptoms prior to your wedding I will reach out to my extensive network of photographers to help find a substitute for the day. If this happens you will be notified immediately and will have the opportunity to approve the recommended photographer ahead of time whenever possible.
