Are you curious what the headshot photography process looks like?
If so, you’re in the right place! In this blog post, we will discuss everything that will happen on the day of your shoot. We’ll talk about what you should wear, what to bring, and how the shoot will progress. By reading this post, you’ll be able to relax and enjoy your headshot photography session!
How should I dress for my headshot?
First and foremost, it is important to wear something that makes you feel comfortable, confident, and fits properly. I often tell my clients to dress as if they were attending a networking event or meeting a client for the very first time.
What to expect during my headshot session.
Depending on the type of shoot you scheduled your session will last between 20-60 minutes in which we will photograph a variety of looks. I’ll direct you through a series of poses and expressions, and we’ll take plenty of breaks in between.
I typically start off with some easy, casual shots where you are relaxed and comfortable. We will then progress to more formal poses and expressions. Throughout the shoot, I will be giving you getting an array of expressions and angles.
One reason clients love photographing their headshots with me is that I shoot tethered. This means you can see the images on my computer as I take them. This allows for instant feedback on what you like and if there is something you want to be changed.
What to expect after your headshot session.
Shortly after your headshot session, I’ll send you an online gallery with the best images from your headshot session. You’ll be able to select your favorite images and I’ll have them professionally retouched and send you the final, high-resolution digital files.
I’m so excited to work with you and get started on creating some amazing headshots! If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
