The Consultation is a great way to get to know each other and talk about how the entire process goes. We recommend coming into the studio to meet in person, but if time or distance is a factor then we can setup a phone/facetime appointment. During the consultation we will discuss clothing, hair / makeup, location options, designate a specific meeting location, and answer any questions you might have. If it’s important to you or your parents to meet us in person, we’ll gladly arrange for an in-person consultation at our studio.
The sitting fee covers the photographers time, talent and covers the professional retouchers labor. We also take care of delivering your yearbook photo to your school in the proper resolution and format.
No we don’t sell a DVD with ALL the files. BUT we do sell digital files individually and offer discounts when purchasing more that one.
A single digital file is one image. You are purchasing the legal copyright of that one image to make as many prints as you want and to share on social media sites. The most valuable item we have as a studio to sell is the digital file.
Your senior portrait sessions are all about you, if we are working in the studio BRING IT ALL! Yes I mean bring everything, nothing makes us happier when we see a senior come in with so many different options. We most likely wont use everything but it’s great to have options. We also want you to bring accessories .. Hat’s, shoes, scarfs, sunglasses and anything else you can think of.
If we are shooting outdoors, we recommend that you bring 3-4 wardrobe changes. That way we can move quickly, because our outdoor sessions involve covering lots of traveling by foot.
We do offer professional makeup for $50, but if your doing it yourself we recommend clean makeup application with added emphasis on lips and eyelashes, feel free to bring someone to help you if you wish.
On the day of your session, we will meet you at a designated location which will be discussed during the consultation. Generally, a high school portrait session will last anywhere between 1-3 hours. We shoot in a deliberate, fast-paced but very relaxed style. We want to make sure you are always comfortable and looking your best. Our sessions are highly interactive and a lot of fun. Great photos do require a bit of work but you’ll have such a blast you won’t know where the time went!
We strongly recommend bringing them to the consultation. Our philosophy on photo shoot day is that parents are welcome but not necessary. We have found some clients relax more when their parents are not around. If you choose not to bring them, we do strongly recommend bringing a friend or two to help you with clothing, make up and ect.
Definitely. In fact, we have special deals if your friend wants pictures too! Ask us for details. Friends can often bring out the best smiles.
We schedule a time for you and your family to come into the studio view your images on the big screen, and order prints and other products. You will usually be contacted within two weeks of your appointment to setup a time to view your photos.
You may make your own reprints if you purchase the digital negatives; otherwise reproduction of any image is a violation of Federal Copyright Law. Reprints are always available.
Yes. Minor retouching is included with every photo ordered, including the photos you select for your package. Special effects and cosmetic retouching is available at an additional cost.
Yes, we require a $375 minimum purchase in prints or products.
Unfortunately no. There is only a small amount of light available during your session and the time it takes to set up and take a few family photos will significantly eat into that time. We do however offer 15% discount to clients want to have a family session during the same season.
